Winding Springs Elementary...

• Is located in the General’s Point neighborhood located off of Gibbon Road, right near the former Metrolina Expo

• Serves approximately 750 children, Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade

• Provides a learning community designed to promote strong academic and leadership qualities in all students

• Has a diverse teaching staff, including veterans, new teachers, student teachers and staff from various preparation programs

• Works to expand developed Parent Teacher Organization and expand our community partnerships

• Believes in the importance of technology literate students, with SmartBoards, Promethean Boards, classroom chrome-books, and iPads available for teaching and learning

• Tailors the education process to the meet the needs of individual students based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study
